Plasma Fibro Blast Treatment Aftercare

Following your Fibroblast treatment, most people experience a mild burning sensation similar to sunburn which resolve after a couple of hours.

Depending upon your own sensitivity tolerance this discomfort will last a little longer. If you feel particularly uncomfortable anti-inflammatory medication such as ibuprofen can be taken. (Ensure this is compatible with any other prescribed medication you may be taking).

As a natural healing response, it is usual for the treated area to become swollen, especially around the more delicate areas such as the eyes.

Once again this can vary depending upon your natural rate of recovery. However, most people find it only last few days before it subsides.

In extreme cases, especially if the client has not followed the aftercare advice. The swelling can last several days and may interfere with vision due to the swelling.

Once again anti-inflammatory medication or antihistamines may help.

Clients often find that application ice packs (covered in cloth) not only soothes the area but helps reduce the swelling.

Initially after treatment and day or so after, there maybe be occasional weeping. This is simply plasma (your skins protection) and it a natural healing response.

As the treated area begins to heal you will notice the drying out process, brown/black crust will develop upon the skin surface. This will simply flake off after a few days but in some cases can take 2 weeks.

DO NOT PICK at the crusting as it can lead to infection and scarring. Likewise, it’s important to keep the area clean and dry.

If out and about, we advise coverage of a high factor sun cream (factor 30 minimum) to avoid sunburn as the areas sensitivity to sunlight will be heightened for up to 3 months.

Lukewarm boiled water is best for cleaning the treated area, do not apply alcohol-based cleanser or apply plasters or occlusive dressing as this will interfere and slow down the healing process.

Providing you listen carefully and follow closely all the aftercare advice you should be enjoying your new look.

However, if at any time the treated area becomes hot, red or shows signs of pus please contact us directly for advice as you may be developing an infection.

For optimum results, more than one treatment will be required which is included free of charge from around 6-12 weeks depending on your healing stage.

Do not use your usual products on the treated area until the area is healed, this includes make up, skin care, and make up brushes. Mineral make up (sterilised brushes) and bb/cc creams can be used.

Some skin types can take longer than the advised 6-12 weeks to heal. If the treated area is still pink after this time please do not be concerned as this will fade and return to normal pigment over time.
